CNC Wheel Refinishing
Precision for Machined-Face Wheels
Diamond-cut and machined-face wheels get their distinctive appearance from extremely fine lines cut into the face of the wheel. Restoring that finish requires more than sanding and paint.
Absolute Wheel Repair uses CNC equipment to precisely re-cut qualifying wheel faces, restoring the machined appearance before the wheel is clear-coated for protection. The result is a crisp, consistent finish designed to closely reproduce the original look.
When CNC Refinishing Is the Right Repair
CNC re-cutting is designed for wheels with a machined or diamond-cut face. We evaluate the wheel, its finish and the damage before determining the right process.
Machined-Face Damage
Restore qualifying scratches, curb rash and finish damage on wheels with a machined face.
Precision Re-Cutting
CNC equipment removes a precise amount of material to recreate the fine machined lines across the wheel face.
Two-Tone Finishes
Many modern wheels combine painted areas with exposed machined aluminum. The refinishing process restores both elements of the design.
Clear-Coat Protection
After machining, the refinished wheel is protected with clear coat to preserve the restored surface and finish.
Our CNC Refinishing Process
Restoring a machined finish takes several steps, from evaluating and preparing the wheel to the precision re-cut and final protective finish.
1
Inspect
We inspect the wheel, identify the finish and evaluate the damage before refinishing.
2
Prepare
Damage is corrected and the wheel is prepared for the machining and refinishing process.
3
Precision Re-Cut
The wheel face is precisely machined to recreate its distinctive cut-metal finish.
4
Clear & Inspect
The restored wheel is clear-coated for protection and inspected before completion.
We Inspect More Than the Finish
A beautiful finish does not matter if there is another problem with the wheel. Before recommending refinishing, we inspect the wheel and tire for additional concerns.
Bend Inspection
We check for bends, flat spots, out-of-round conditions and structural deformation.
Crack Inspection
We look for cracks, previous welds, stress fractures and potential air leaks.
Cosmetic Inspection
Curb rash, scratches, corrosion, damaged clear coat and previous refinishing are evaluated.
Tire Inspection
We check for punctures, leaks, uneven wear, sidewall damage, dry rot, bulges and tread concerns.
